Blackjack Switch by Playtech software is like Blackjack, with benefits—all the stability you’re looking for in a classic game with the ability to switch “partners” when it suits you, and you can play a little more on the side as well. Even the most avid Blackjack fan will have a hard time going back to the classic game after playing this Blackjack Switch game.

Table bets are a little higher-minimum bet is $1 and maximum bet is $500.

First things first, the rules for Blackjack Switch are not completely different from Blackjack. There are merely a few small changes and additions to Playtech’s general rules, but it’s enough to take the game to a completely different place. Here’s what you need to know:

    • Dealer always hits a soft 17 (a hand totaling 17 using an Ace).
    • Blackjacks pay 1 to 1 instead of the typical 3 to 2. (You’ll get over this quickly since the “switching” factor allows for more Blackjacks).
    • Dealer will peek for Blackjack when the show card is an Ace or a 10-value. If indeed a Blackjack is found, Dealer will automatically win unless the player also has Blackjack (and then it will push).
    • Switch: It’s like legalized cheating—after you are dealt your initial two hands, you’re allowed to switch the top two cards, without penalty or additional wager.
    • Push 22: A Dealer total of 22 will result in all hands being pushed, with the exceptions of a Player Blackjack (which obviously wins) or a Player push (which obviously loses).
    • Super Match: This additional side wager is betting that your initial four cards (the two pairs dealt) will contain 2 or more of the same cards. The payouts pay out as follows:
    • A Pair pays 1 to 1 odds.
    • Three of a Kind pays 5 to 1 odds.
    • 2 Pairs pays 8 to 1 odds.
    • Four of a Kind will pay out 40 to 1.

You don’t have to forget everything you know about Blackjack in order to play Blackjack switch. In fact, you just make like these few rule changes enough to make this your Blackjack game of choice.
